HARVEST SPECIAL
Virginia Fresh Match is happy to announce this special statewide promotion for November 2025, to help families stretch their food budgets and support Virginia’s farmers during a time of increased need, with the support of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS).
How the Harvest Special works at Farmers Markets
Customers can participate in the Harvest Special once per day, per SNAP card, subject to funding availability.

No registration required. The Harvest Special is available at participating farmers markets, mobile markets, and farm stands during November.

Customers bring their SNAP/EBT card at the market’s information booth

The card is swiped for the amount they’d like to spend on SNAP
-
They receive their usual dollar-for-dollar match, plus an additional $20 in free VFM tokens to spend on fruits and vegetables​
Example:
Spend $10 in SNAP → Get $10 in SNAP tokens + $10 in matching VFM tokens + $20 Harvest Special = $40 total to spend

At Farmers Markets, get DOUBLE the value of your SNAP/EBT dollars when you visit the Market Information Tent.

For example, spend $10 of SNAP to get $10 EXTRA in VFM tokens, for FREE to spend on fruits and vegetables. ​
How VFM works at
retail Locations
At mobile markets, stores, farm stands, and CSA's, get 50% OFF fruits and vegetables when you use SNAP/EBT.

Simply tell the cashier you're paying with SNAP/EBT to get the discount at checkout.
